The 100% electric Nissan LEAF shows what can happen when you believe anything is possible. Developed with game-changing technology that produces zero emissions while driving, it re-writes the rules on car driving and ownership. It’s designed for anyone who believes that their choices can truly make a difference.
Cars that are registered with the DVLA and have a fuel type of 'electric', like the Nissan LEAF, do not need to pay the London Congestion Charge, while many other vehicles will be paying the full £11.50 per day. For somebody living outside the congestion zone but driving into it five days a week, each week of the year, this could mean an annual saving of over £2,500.
To benefit from the discount, LEAF owners must register a customer account with TFL and set-up Auto Pay (£10 per vehicle per year).
With the NissanConnect EV telematics system and companion smartphone app on the Acenta and Tekna, owning an electric car has never been easier. You'll be able to remotely schedule a charging time or activate the climate control, wherever you are.*
The Nissan LEAF features an advanced 24kWh or 30kWh rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack designed to provide clean, reliable power.
The British-made lithium-ion battery pack stores its power in 48 lithium-ion modules that fit snugly in the floor. Alongside the proven 24kWh battery pack, the LEAF is also available with a 30kWh pack that gives extra range.
The Nissan LEAF’s lithium-ion battery pack is 99% recyclable – which is more than you can say about a conventional car’s battery. At the end of its service the LEAF’s battery pack is dismantled and its components sorted before being given a second life.
|Engine||Autonomy (NEDC)*||Electricity consumption*||CO2 mass emission (Combined)|
|Battery 24kW||Electric||124 miles||150 Wh/km||0|
|Battery 30kW||Electric||155 miles||150 Wh/km||0|
The Nissan LEAF's electric powertrain, including the battery, is covered for five years or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Choose a LEAF with the 30kWh battery pack and the cover specifically for capacity loss on the lithium-ion battery increases to eight years or 100,000 miles. This protects you against capacity loss of more than 25% – 9 out of the 12 bars displayed on your dashboard. Buy a Nissan LEAF and we’ll keep you driving well into the future.
We want you to be completely satisfied with the ongoing quality and performance of your Nissan LEAF. That's why we make a number of commitments to you - whether it's the use of a conventional car for 14 days per year to cover any exceptional driving needs, the provision of continuous EV roadside assistance or the guarantee we offer for our battery and electric powertrain.
